Mid-spring is my favourite time of year. In my opinion, that’s when the most exquisite of the seasonal flowers come into bloom, one after the other in rapid succession. I remember that on this day, although I had florist orders to fulfill, I couldn’t help collecting a few extra flowers to create something beautiful for my own enjoyment. Here are multiple varieties of ranunculus and narcissus, along with anemones, apple blossoms, and my sons’ miniature “Slinky” that must have been placed when I wasn’t looking. To me, this photo represents the beginning of the annual cascade of beauty.
